Go Inside All Access under “Start Here…the Rules of All-Access” > what to do if you have co-writers
What is the proper way to submit songs inside of All-Access?
You can submit mp3, wavs, or aiff files. As you stated, only aiff and mp3s will hold metadata. Are you using DISCO? If so, DISCO will provide those formats when you create a playlist. 44.1 khz should suffice but it won't hurt to have it at 48. 96 is overkill.
Does everything I submit need to be mastered?
This is a personal choice. The important thing is that it sounds broadcast quality which means well mixed and balanced with appropriate levels.
I’m concerned my songs are not getting listened to or downloaded - how do we know?
Your songs will get listened to and sometimes downloaded. The only time this may not happen is if we post a brief and shortly thereafter the creative direction changes. It's rare but it does happen.
Your time is best spent pitching and moving on. Pitch. Write. Record. Pitch. Rinse and repeat and eventually something will stick.
Will I get feedback on my songs or know whether or not they are chosen?
Sometimes, Jody will drop in on a Happy Hour session or Listening Session or Accountability call and show you real time feedback on how he listens and pulls ideas for briefs but in general, with regards to getting feedback on your songs submission, the All-Access membership does not offer this.
It would be too time consuming and take us away from where our efforts should be focused: on pitching and getting placements.
I have a consult coming up with Jody, is it OK to send him music ahead of time?
No. Please have your song & lyrics ready on a streaming link that you can message Jody during the session itself.
I signed up for the Masterclass. Where do I go to access it?
then go to your "library", you'll find all of your products
I'm thinking of joining but am concerned about the time commitment, is it a big commitment?
You can complete any of the programs at your own pace. There may be certain bonus opportunities, such as live calls, but they are purely bonuses and not related to the core course material which you forever have access to.
How Much Money Can I Make In Music Licensing?
That really depends on you and how much work you're going to put in. Artists can earn six to seven figures annually by licensing their music regularly.
Can You Guarantee I'll Get Licensed After Taking Your Masterclass?
Of course not. And I've seen courses that offer this and I'd advise you to be very leery. I give you the tools you need to get the placements but you still have to implement what we teach you to make it happen.
